Teaching to Learn

Having students teach each other is one of the many newfound ways to help students master material. Firstly it encourages students to become more independent, which in the process helps them become responsible. Secondly it promotes reading, as to understand the material more prints may be needed. Next it trains students in multiple literacies. For example it allows students to analyze not only books, but documentaries, databases, and more, all of which may have never been understood before. Lastly it allows for regular assessment, as the teaching would be evaluated based on the mastery of the material.
